Lighting Makes All The Difference!
Up-Lighting with SnowFlake Gobo Design
The lighting at your EVENT is an important factor, but one that people sometimes don’t consider. “Lighting adds so much to your room,” says Natalie Daniels, a lighting design specialist. “It can totally change the atmosphere…don’t be intimidated to use lighting in your event!”
The picture to the left is where we changed the room into a winter wonderland with Frost Blue LED Up-Lighting with Snowflake Gobo Light Imaging (we had it slowly turning like it was actually snowing, really cool) with a splash of a blue water effect moving slowly on a ceiling.
Now you may be told that "LED Lighting" is different than "Incandescent or Halogen Lighting", but don't be fooled into that trick. The reasons why another company may tell you different is simply because they can't afford the LED Lighting. In the Up-Lighting world, a Par 38 Can and a halogen bulb with a thin piece of plastic (sometimes called a gel) costs about $25 each to purchase, but an LED Up-Light fixture can cost anywhere from $300 to $800 each. Big difference, why? Well LED lighting can do more and is more vibrant than traditional lighting.

UP-LIGHTING: LED vs Halogen Lighting
Ok, so lets get educated so we can pick the right lighting for you. As we all know, Halogen or incandescent lighting is hot to the touch and can cause serious burns to a guest who may accidentally knock one over and pick it up or a little child may be attracted to the light and touch it and get burned. For that reason alone, we really do not recommend that type of lighting on the floor and nor does the insurance companies and Fire Marshall, so even if you have insurance, negligence will find you guilty.
Secondly, the bulb is made of glass which retains heat and can easily break causing broken glass on a floor where people have to walk causing possible cuts to the skin. The filament inside can spark and cause a fire either on a carpet or low drapery. So why do these companies even sell you such an item? Bottom line, price and greed, charge you a lot for an inexpensive item means more profit. They will also try other ways to sell against LED Lighting by saying it's bright or beamy, which LED can make a beam effect up a column a 100 feet high (which Halogens can barely climb a 10 foot ceiling), but a simple LED diffuser can wash a wider area and LED's can be dimmable. LED's are also low wattage, so no circuits breaking during the night. Below is a comparison to both type of lights, you make the call!

LED UP-LIGHTING OR COLOR WASHING
Up-Lighting, also known as wall washing, uplighting is the process of placing lights at the bottom of the wall to wash an entire wall with color. Up-Lighting is the foundation to any lighting design and it can introduce subtle hues or rich and vibrant colors, repainting walls with beautiful colors to represent your theme to give you that WOW effect when your guests walk into the room.
Depending on what package you select or the room size, we can blueprint your room to get proper placement to give you the biggest bang for your buck. We can place them from 5 feet apart up to 25 feet apart, but we recommend at least 10 to 15 feet apart. When the lights are placed closer, the fullness of color becomes greater.
The Hi-Light package is a more budget friendly package from 1 to 10 up-lights. We can just up-light the Sweetheart Table or maybe the Cake Table or just do the Dance Floor area. We can offer you many options and colors to choose from.
